Youth Hearts Screening
We are on a mission to save lives. Screening America’s Youth Hearts Screening is a specific group of tests that help aid in the detection of Sudden Cardiac Death in active young people. With the recent increase in Sudden Cardiac Deaths that are being reported all over the country, we have created this screening program to prevent this tragedy from occuring.
Screening America’s Youth Hearts Screening is a low cost effective way to aid in the detection of the causes of Sudden Cardiac Death. The dynamic screening has four tests which are all included at one low price; a health history questionnaire, blood pressure check, an Electrocardiogram (EKG), and a limited Echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound).
These tests are specifically designed to detect hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), as well as several other abnormalities that have been shown to cause sudden death in young people. These exams are read by a board-certified cardiologist, who is an expert in interpreting the exams. Young people are encouraged to share the results of their screening with their family physician who is best able to determine if further action is necessary. Evaluation by a cardiologist, or a pediatric cardiologist may be recommended.
Screening America’s mobile Youth Hearts Screening program is on a mission to save the lives of our young people, and is presently scheduling appointments in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa.
